DIVISIONS

JUNIORS

Players are graded based on skill level through a selection process and consultation with past and current coaches. Grading is final and considers strategic placement of players in specific positions and general skill level.

When more than one team is registered in the same division, MANC ensures the skill levels are as even as possible. Teams are graded according to the Association’s guidelines if different divisions are available.

Pups (training-only)

MANC offers a beginners program called Pups for children in Years 2-4. The Pups program introduces kids to netball in a fun and safe environment, incorporating Netball Australia’s FunNet and Netta programs. Participants learn the rules of the game, ball-handling skills, and general fitness.

The program runs weekly on Tuesday nights from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Duncan Mackinnon, an outdoor venue. After a year of training, Pups can progress to the 11 & Under program when ready, as determined by coaches.

No MANC netball uniform is required for this training-only program, and no selection session is needed.

Weather Policy: Teams must report for all matches. The Court Supervisor and Umpire Supervisor may cancel matches if conditions are too wet or dangerous. Score cards are filled in, and two points are awarded to teams with five or more players present. Teams with fewer players forfeit the game, and walkover conditions apply.
